Facebook now Charging Fan Pages for “Promoted Posts"

Facebook now Charging Fan Pages for “Promoted Posts"

Sigh, this is not a Rumor. Facebook will now have “Paid Posts” for Fan pages to reach their members. If you are a fan or business page owner and recently seemed like you are not “reaching” as many followers are you used to…YOU WERE RIGHT!

Promoted Posts just launched this morning on Facebook! These posts will range anywhere from $15 to $300 per post. Facebook has said “when you promote a post, it will be shown in the news feeds of more of the people who like your Page than you would reach normally. Friends of the people who have interacted with your post will also be more likely to see the story in their news feeds for up to 3 days from when the post was first created.”

All PAID promoted posts will show up to fans that have already liked your page. The post will show up as “Sponsored” in the news feed.

They had details on how this will work HERE. (Seems to be having issues now)

This could get VERY costly for many of us small businesses who have Fan Pages.

Please make sure you visit our Facebook page often, I am not sure how many of my posts you will be seeing in your feed anymore. And you can always find our most recent posts by bookmarking our website HERE. And get daily or weekly updates by following our rss email feed to make sure you get our news posts, offers, tips and info.
